June Mid Month - Lets expand - Lets Grow

Thought it would be a great idea to turn our monthly email into a video as well, just to give you a quick overview of what’s been happening and keep you informed about what's going on at Get Electronic.

First up, the VASA Expo is being held in Brisbane from July 31st through to August 2nd. We've touched on this briefly before, but this will be our very first trade show as an exhibitor, and we're looking forward to meeting many of our Australian customers face-to-face.

We're making it as easy as possible for Australian workshops to use Get Electronic. We can arrange direct pickup from your workshop, have your module repaired, and ship it straight back to you. Vote with your packages! If there's enough interest and support from Australian workshops, we'll look seriously at opening a brick-and-mortar workshop on Australian soil.

Don't worry though — the New Zealand operation isn't going anywhere. Same staff, same equipment, same service, just a copy of what we've built here in New Zealand, expanded into Australia.

The more modules we repair, the more knowledge we gain, making it easier for workshops to diagnose and solve those strange, hard-to-find faults. So let's continue to grow together!

Next up, we had a Ford Focus instrument cluster come through the workshop where the customer had punched straight through the lens in an attempt to make it work again. Now, we all know that tapping an intermittent connection can sometimes bring it back to life temporarily, but this customer may have hit it a little too enthusiastically! We'll replace the lens, repair the original fault, and get it back on the road properly.

We've also been busy with ABS motor repairs and valve body testing. We see a large number of failures in these systems, from worn-out pump motors to contaminated brake fluid that causes valves to stick or jam. Our testing equipment allows us to accurately diagnose and verify repairs before the unit leaves the workshop.

Speaking of common failures, we're also seeing an increase in TCM issues, particularly on the Volkswagen and Audi DQ381 transmissions. While pressure sensor faults have been common for some time, we're now seeing more speed sensor-related failures as these vehicles age. Fortunately, our dedicated test benches allow us to prove faults before repair and verify correct operation afterwards. And it's not just VW and Audi units either — we're repairing transmission modules across many manufacturers, including Mercedes-Benz.

Another exciting development is our custom control board manufacturing. For obsolete modules where replacement parts are no longer available, we can reverse-engineer and design entirely new control boards, giving these systems a new lease on life and keeping equipment operational long after factory support has ended.

And finally, just a quick reminder regarding our industrial repair services. Get Electronic now focuses exclusively on automotive electronics repairs. All industrial electronic repairs are handled by our sister company, Industrial Electronic, which specialises in industrial controls, automation equipment, laboratory equipment, chargers, drives, and much more.

Thanks for taking the time to watch, and as always, if your workshop needs assistance with automotive electronics repairs, we're only a phone call or email away.
